African Tree Art

In this collection I feature some exquisite minimalistic works that are as beautiful as ink drawings by accomplished Japanese Sumi-e ink artists.

 

These images were photographed and processed in tribute to my mother, a Professor of Japanese Floral Art and my father, an accomplished Black and White photographer.

 

All images in this collection are reflections of my artistic vision of the African landscapes and Nature elements.

 

My artistic process is to first free the subject from the boundaries imposed by the edge of the frame so that they can blend seamlessly into my client's spaces. 

Then I carefully paint the subject in using the time-honoured dark room process of burning select areas in to accentuate elements of the subject that form the artwork.
