West Cost Collection

The West Coast of South Africa is a place of stark contrast. The hot and dry region of the Northern Cape is washed by an ice-cold sea current emanating from somewhere deep in the Southern Antarctic Ocean, bringing with it foggy weather and deep blue seas.

This collection of images is part of my photographic journey where I explore the distinct beauty of the region.

All images in this collection are reflections of my artistic vision of the African landscapes captured by me in the magical West Coast of Southern Africa.

A pebble on the beach

Much as I delight in really dramatic sunsets, there's always a special, triumphant presence to be had when majestic moody clouds add to the experience.

However, the artist is drawn to a single pebble on the beach. As insignificant as it may seem, when this image is printed, the pebble also draws the viewer's attention to it and suddenly, just as the artist experienced it, the pabble magically becomes more impactful than the entire scene.
