The Bushveld with its iconic trees is one of the most visited places in Southern Africa. People visit this area in the hopes to spot a lion or any of the big five animals and all to often miss the beauty of the bushveld trees with their twisted shapes and ancient secrets.
I visited Kruger National Park for the very first time recently. Although I was fortunate enough to see and enjoy the illusive big five and other wildlife, my attention was drawn to the magnificent trees.
What struck me was the uniqueness of their shapes.
