Moments of ebullience

Like a theatrical stage well lighted, the artist waits for the perfect moment to capture the soft rays of sunlight that emulate the glare of the brasier in the forge and the furnace to highlight the craggy features in the distant hills.

Distorted Throne

The tragedy of power and ambition beautifully captured in this image is strangely captivating. The artist, seeing these shapes emerging from the fog, imagined this to be a scene from the  William Shakespeare's tragedy, Macbeth. Standing before the trio of witches, Macbeth , consumed with ambition of becoming the King of Scotland, is greeted with the words "Fair is foul, and foul is fair: Hover through the fog and filthy air"  

With those words playing in his head and standing in the pouring rain, the artist captures the drama of the play perfectly.
